Hi! We’re Dan and Helena, the faces behind Candid Camera co.
 

Candid Camera co was born out of a desire to do something different for our own wedding. We found our dream photographer and wanted to capture our speeches and ceremony on video, but couldn’t justify the cost of a videographer or find a videographer that matched our vibe. We also weren’t a fan of the hyper-editorial style wedding videos that seemed to be trending at the time and preferred a more vintage film like vibe that was more authentic and candid.
 

After some “healthy” debate with each other on the best option and discussing with friends who had faced similar challenges, we found the best of both worlds and Candid Camera co was born.

Now we want to give back to other couples in NZ. If you’re suffering from decision fatigue, let us help with one easy decision. Candid Camera co is the affordable option allowing you to capture your day on video in an authentic way that reflects you without breaking the bank. It empowers you and your guests to capture some candid footage, record memories and have fun while doing it!
 

Dan has spent his life with a camera in hand and used to run a photo & video production company. Helena is a lawyer by day, so you can be assured that her type A attention to detail has been across the logistics to ensure the rental runs smoothly (she’s also a hopeless romantic who cries at strangers’ wedding videos).
